The photo at upper left shows the "Whale" landform photographed from the southwest by the Mars Sansabelt Explorer probe. The remaining inset photos show increasingly "bird's-eye" views leading up to the central picture. While NASA has released the original "Face on Mars" photos from the Cydonia region of the planet, the Agency has never officially admitted to the images reproduced here.
